Agents
Agents with the CEA verified badge are on CEA's Public Register. We check every night, and the badge goes if their registration lapses.
- Every agent listing shows the agent's name, CEA number, phone, agency and licence number.
- Scammers copy real agents' names with a different phone number. Check the number on the listing against the register.
- Never pay to view. Pay deposits to the owner only, after viewing in person. Agents never handle the money.
How ID verification works
- 1. Confirm your email and phone number. That gives you the Contact verified badge.
- 2. Scan your ID and take a selfie. A passport, national ID or driving licence from any country works. It takes about 2 minutes, in the app or on your phone.
- 3. Didit, our verification partner, matches the two. Most checks finish in a minute. Colivioo keeps your verified name, the document type and country, and its expiry date, never a copy of your document or its number.
A badge confirms who someone is. It doesn't vouch for their character or for a listing, so keep your own judgement and never pay before you've seen a room.
